FRIDAY MY JOURNEY BACK.

Bila hari khamis menjelang tiba, hati ini akan gelisah nak balik ke Miri. My place and my lovely home. Mulalah nak packing, kemas rumah sikit.
Jalan alternatif dah dirancang sekiranya banjir melanda Negara Brunei , iaitu daerah Tutong.

THURSDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2009.

Happy Birthday to my friends, who are born today. This is my only way of expressing my friendly
gesture to my friends and to those who read my daily updates. Thanks everybody for your support and friendly attitude.

My Work Place: DERMAGA KASTAM, LIMBANG

Located at Jalan Wong Tsap En in Limbang Town itself. On the right side of the waterfront facing the water village across the Limbang River. The village is still isolated by the river and the only mean of transportation is by "penambang boat" . The fare for crossing the river is RM0.50 -RM1.00. The Dermaga is a legal landing place for express boat to and from Labuan. At the moment there are 2 express boats plying to and from Labuan on alternate day. Most of the passengers are local and some are from Brunei who go for business and leisure trip. The journey takes about 2 hours, and it depends on the weather condition. Usually the trip starts early in the morning.

February 2009.

February 2009. Still unsettled about my mind. I left my family in Miri . I tried to settled by myself trying to adapt a new lifestyle. I have a sleepless night. My only friend with me is my faithful mini hi fi playing music whole night and my most trusted friend is my fujitsu laptop who relayed the good and the bad news to me. It is the best friend b cause I considered it is the best tool to communicate with friends, chatting and exchanging photographs and jokes.

BORING LIFE.

For first timer like me life is boring without all the good friends around, joking in a jovial mood.
Come night time it is quiet in Batu Biah. I left all my good friends in Miri. I am alone surrounded by crickets and cicadas playing their favourite night tunes which I consider a nuisance to my ears.

My New Nest -My New Home- Batu Biah

Come Jan 2009 I received a letter regarding a new posting to a new town unknown to me- Limbang. It doesn't mean the town is unknown to me but the way I interpret it, is just a bit confusing for me. To me Limbang is a town at the northern outskirt of Sarawak with little development. With little knowlege about the nothern town, I try my best to overcome my curiousity. With my waja car I arranged my trip with my friend who knows the journey thru short cut. The journey was ok because the road is well maintained by the sultanate government except that it zig-zagged winding like a crippled snake. The border station is an old stack of metal container bordering each other about 25 meters apart. The malaysian counterpart is just a metal structure with wooden and zinc material manned by the Immigration and Customs personnels. From the reliable source the new CIQ at Tadungan is ready, but the system for IT component in the CIQ is unavailable, i.e the networking system.
